Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information WTF Games (“we”, “us”, “our”, the website wtfgames.io) collects when you visit and play games on our site, how we use that information, and the choices you have. By using wtfgames.io you agree to the practices described here.
Who we are
WTF Games is a free website where you can play HTML5 and unblocked browser games instantly, with no download required. Our audience is mainly students and casual gamers. You can contact us at any time at admin@wtfgames.io.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information. If you register an account, we store the email address and nickname (display name) you provide, plus your password in encrypted form.
- Gameplay activity. We may store which games you play, your favorites, ratings and basic gameplay statistics so we can show your history and personalize the site.
- Comments and chat. If you post a comment or message in a game chat, we store the text, your nickname and the time it was posted.
- Contact messages. If you email us or use our contact form, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
- Log and device data. Like most websites, our servers and our CDN (Cloudflare) automatically record information such as your IP address, approximate country, browser type, operating system, referring page and the pages you view. Cloudflare also helps protect the site from abuse and attacks.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We and our partners use cookies and local storage to keep you logged in, remember preferences (such as recently played games and favorites), measure traffic and serve advertising. See “Cookies” below.
Advertising — Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display ads, which is how we keep the games free. Google and its partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick / AdSense cookie) and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to our site and other sites on the internet.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites.
- You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, we work with Google to request consent for personalized advertising and cookies where required.
Analytics — Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which games and categories are popular and how pages perform). Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data such as IP address (which Google may anonymize/truncate), pages viewed and device information. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy. You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to opt out.
Third-party embedded games
Many games on WTF Games are embedded from third-party providers using iframes. When you play one of these games, the third-party provider may set its own cookies and collect data according to its own privacy policy, which we do not control. If you have concerns about a specific game, please contact us.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies — needed to log you in and keep the site secure.
- Preference / local storage — to remember favorites, recently played games and settings.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics, to measure usage.
- Advertising cookies — Google AdSense and partners, to serve and measure ads.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works (for example, staying logged in).
How we use your information
- To run the website and let you play, save favorites and see your history.
- To create and secure your account and enable comments/chat.
- To display and measure advertising, which funds the free games.
- To analyze traffic and improve the games, layout and performance.
- To prevent spam, abuse and fraud, and to comply with the law.
- To respond to your messages and support requests.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the site — for example Google (advertising and analytics) and Cloudflare (security and content delivery) — and where required by law.
Data retention
We keep account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. Server and security logs are typically kept for a limited period. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to Google’s policies. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data, except where we must keep it for legal or security reasons.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and California’s CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at admin@wtfgames.io and we will respond within a reasonable time. You also have the right to opt out of personalized advertising as described above.
Children’s privacy
WTF Games is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country under GDPR-K / COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact admin@wtfgames.io and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
