How to Play Cookie Clicker
Click the big cookie to bake your first cookies, then spend them on Cursors and Grandmas so production runs while you idle. Buildings beat raw clicking fast: a few Grandmas out-earn your finger within minutes, so reinvest early instead of hoarding.
From there, add Farms, Mines, and Factories, and buy upgrades whenever one costs less than a minute of your income. Watch for golden cookies at the edge of the screen. Clicking one can multiply production or drop a pile of free cookies, and it vanishes in seconds. Achievements raise your milk level, which feeds kitten upgrades later. Aim to make each minute of baking bigger than the last.

Does Cookie Clicker save my progress?
The game saves to your browser's local storage. Come back on the same device and browser and your bakery is still there. Clearing browser data deletes the save.
What should I buy first in Cookie Clicker?
Start with a few Cursors, then switch to Grandmas as soon as you can afford them. Grandmas give the best early cookies-per-second for the price; after that, spread purchases across Farms and Mines.
What do golden cookies do?
A golden cookie appears for a few seconds and gives a random bonus when you click it, usually a temporary production multiplier (Frenzy) or a lump of free cookies. Click them every time.
