GT Formula Championship

GT Formula Championship is circuit racing built around a season rather than one throwaway lap. You race a calendar of events in an open wheel car, and your finishing position each round adds to a championship points table instead of resetting to zero. That single change turns every race into a small decision about risk versus reward, not just a sprint to the front.

How to play: arrow keys or WASD drive, up accelerates, down brakes and reverses, and left and right steer through the corners. Space gives you a handbrake for the tightest hairpins. The car carries real momentum, so the fast way through a corner is braking in a straight line before you turn, then getting back on the throttle as early as the exit allows. Rushing the entry almost always costs more than it gains over a full race distance.

What actually protects your championship position: finishing consistently beats one risky win, since a crash out of a race costs you every point that round while a cautious sixth place still banks something. Learn one circuit at a time rather than the whole calendar at once, and treat the opening lap of each race as a positioning lap instead of a passing lap. Saving the aggressive moves for the closing laps, once the field has thinned out, usually pays off more than fighting for position on lap one.
