About this game

Mountain Bike Xtreme is a side-view balance ride across rocky trails, ramps and drops. The bike rolls forward by itself, so the actual gameplay is entirely about keeping the rider from tipping over on terrain that is rarely flat for more than a second.

How to play: use the up and down arrow keys, or W and S, to lean the rider forward and backward. Leaning back on a climb keeps the front wheel from flipping you over, and leaning forward on a steep drop or after a jump keeps the bike from landing nose first. Space or up handles a jump off ramps when the trail calls for it. Coins scattered along the route add a small bonus for riding a clean line instead of the safest one.

Two habits make the hills easier. Start leaning before the slope actually changes, since the bike's momentum means a lean applied right at the crest is already a beat too late. And on jumps, level the bike out in the air rather than holding one lean the whole time, because a flat landing absorbs a bump that a nose-down or tail-down landing turns into a crash. Chasing every coin is not worth a fall, so skip one that sits right on a steep edge.

If balance-based riding is your thing, WTF Games also has MOTO X3M 3 and Moto Attack Bike Racing for the motorbike version of the same idea, plus Obby on a Bike for an obstacle-course spin. Mountain Bike Xtreme is unblocked, loads fast and runs fine on a school Chromebook.

Mountain Bike Xtreme FAQ

How do you play Mountain Bike Xtreme?

Use the up and down arrow keys or W and S to lean the rider forward and backward. The bike rolls forward on its own, so keeping balance on the terrain is the whole game.

Is Mountain Bike Xtreme free to play?

Yes. It runs in your browser on wtfgames.io with no download, install or sign-up, and it works on school Chromebooks.

How do you land jumps cleanly in Mountain Bike Xtreme?

Level the bike out in the air instead of holding one lean direction the whole jump. A flat landing absorbs the bump that a nose-down landing turns into a crash.

What other bike balancing games are on WTF Games?

MOTO X3M 3 and Moto Attack Bike Racing cover the motorbike version of the same balance-based riding.
