2048.io keeps the rule set of the classic sliding puzzle tight: tiles with matching numbers merge when they collide, and every move spawns a new tile on the board. Push tiles with WASD or the arrow keys. The trap is moving without a plan; the fix is anchoring your biggest tile in a corner and building rows toward it. Reaching 2048 is the official goal, but most players push on for 4096 and beyond. One match takes a few minutes, unless you start thinking, in which case it takes an hour.
