Dogod.io

Dogod.io is a collect-and-grow arena game built around one idea: one dog is nothing, a pack is everything. You start alone, run around picking up loose dogs and bones, and every pickup makes your group bigger and your presence on the map louder. Other players are doing the same, so the arena is a constant race for the same strays.

How to play: steer with the mouse and your lead dog follows the cursor while the rest of the pack trails behind. Hold left click for a short burst of speed when you need to beat someone to a pickup or break away from a bigger group. Running into a smaller pack takes it over; running into a bigger one costs you dogs. There is no complicated menu, no upgrade tree and nothing to unlock, so you are playing within about five seconds of the page loading.

A couple of things that make a difference. Do not sprint the whole time, because the burst is what saves you when a larger pack angles at you and you will want it available. Work the edges of the map early where fights are thinner and strays sit uncollected, then push into the middle once your pack is big enough to survive a bad angle. And when a big fight breaks out nearby, do not join it, wait and pick up the loose dogs it leaves scattered.
