Hardshell Life drops armored egg characters into a battlefield and hands everyone a gun, so the last egg standing wins the round.

You move with WASD and aim and shoot with the mouse, and the egg theme does not change much about the core shooting: taking cover, watching angles, and picking fights you can actually win still decide most rounds. Getting caught in open ground tends to end a run fast, since there is nowhere to break line of sight once someone else has a clean shot lined up.

Matches move quickly, and a good defensive position often carries a round further than aggressive pushing does, especially once the player count drops and every remaining egg is more careful. Rounds reset within seconds of ending, so a rough start costs almost nothing before the next chance comes around.

Peeking out from cover for a quick shot and pulling back immediately usually beats holding an exposed position to trade shots, since a shell that stays visible too long becomes an easy target for more than one opponent at once. Repositioning after every kill also helps, since the sound of a shot often draws the next nearest player straight toward your last known spot.

Hardshell Life is unblocked and works fine on a school Chromebook, so it is an easy pick for a quick shooting match between classes. Matches rarely run long, which makes it easy to fit two or three rounds into a short break without losing track of time.
