SNAKE io
About this game
Snake io takes the classic snake formula online, and every other snake sharing the arena with you is controlled by a real player instead of a script.
You steer with the mouse or the arrow keys, and the only two things to manage are growth and survival. Eating the food scattered around the arena makes your snake longer, and cutting across another player's path forces them to crash, which drops their length onto the field for anyone nearby to grab. The catch is that your own tail is just as dangerous as anyone else's, so a careless loop can end your run as fast as a rival can.
Early game is mostly about eating safely near the edges where fewer players cross paths. Once your snake gets long, the smarter move is usually to hunt smaller players near the center instead of hoarding food alone, since cutting off a rival adds far more length than grazing does.
A couple of habits keep runs going longer. Give yourself extra space before every turn instead of cutting it tight, since a long snake needs more room to change direction safely. Watch what is happening a full screen ahead rather than right at your snake's head, so an incoming rival does not surprise you at the last second.
Snake io is unblocked and works on any school Chromebook, no install needed, which makes it an easy multiplayer pick for a quick session at school or at home. WTF Games has more io games in a similar competitive, grow-and-survive style if this one clicks for you.
